While monthly webinars are an important instructional aspect of the program, implementing these new strategies is a day-by-day process. That's why our Forums are so important to your success. Log on for assistance, or to help a colleague. You will have to log in with your username and pass code the first time you enter the discussion. The site will place a cookie on your system, which will allow you to enter future discussions without an additional log-in.

Each forum is moderated by either Jennifer Campbell or Kyle Krull.

The Discussion Boards

The boards are organized by topic to make it easier for you to research questions & answers. We encourage you to use the discussion boards as much as possible – they give you access not only to the moderator’s input (whether Kyle or Jennifer), but also to the responses of your colleagues. You MAY attach files to your discussion board posts if you want to share documents. However, it would be better to send those documents to us, let us will clean them up, convert to Adobe Acrobat, send out an announcement, and post them in the Knowledge Base for everyone to download.

An Overview of the Boards:

Community

  • General Support – If you have a story to tell, or a question that does not fit into

one of the other categories, post it here.

Practice Management

  • Financial Data – Use this board to post questions about tracking, reporting and/or interpreting your financial data.

  • Time Management – If you find a system that works great, or are struggling with a particularly difficult issue, use this board to discuss it with your colleagues. Wonder how other "D’s" manage to pare back their schedules? You will find many similar souls among your colleagues!

  • Staffing – Everyone has "issues" with staffing … even if you don’t have any staff! Trying to decide between two equally qualified candidates? Let us know the facts, and perhaps someone in the group will have a poignant insight to help you decide.

  • Software & Resources – A salesman shows up to demonstrate the latest and greatest technology for voice recognition, video conferencing, legal research, wireless networking …. you name it. Do you buy? Why not ask your colleagues if they have any experience with the company or product first? Also, post your questions about QuickBooks or TimeMatters – and please do post them here. Likely your colleagues have the same questions, and it will be much easier for me to answer once on the discussion board, than 15 times individually!

  • Database – Whether you are using TimeMatters or some other database solution, you may find you have a question about customization, creating merge documents, resolving an error message, or simply exporting a list. This is the place to post those types of questions.

Marketing

  • Seminars & Workshops – We all do seminars and workshops of some type – whether to large crowds, small audiences, or as part of a teaching program. Getting the most out of your investment (time & money) is an essential element of your practice development plan. Let us know what’s working, your frustrations, and any questions you may have about organizing, promoting, marketing or following up your seminar activities.

  • Referral Relationships – Relationships of any type can be challenging. Whether you are struggling to open doors, encourage additional referrals, or to keep the relationship "on track," this is the place to post your most vexing questions.

  • Client Development – As the estate planning market matures, client development is becoming more and more important. Working out the details – successfully and profitably – may require some creative thought. Lets work together to help all of our clients!
